GIRL UP
In 2024, I volunteered with Girl Up, a program dedicated to empowering young students through education and skill development. This initiative focused on designing and delivering life skills workshops to Grade 6 students at a government school (RGH), providing them with valuable knowledge and experiences outside the typical curriculum.
As a volunteer, I developed comprehensive lesson plans and modules on critical topics such as sustainability and mental health. These sessions aimed to broaden the students' perspectives and equip them with essential life skills. By introducing subjects not usually covered in their regular school curriculum, I aimed to spark curiosity and a passion for learning among the students.

To encourage active learning, I incorporated various activities involving arts and crafts, writing, and discussions. These interactive elements helped students engage more deeply with the material, making the learning process enjoyable and memorable. My goal was to expose the children to new perspectives and ways of thinking, despite the constraints of their environment.

In addition to curriculum development, I actively conducted workshops and interactive lessons to enhance the soft skills of over 45 children. These sessions were designed to foster teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities, helping the students navigate their educational and personal lives more effectively. My involvement in Girl Up not only contributed to the students' growth but also reinforced my commitment to community service and education.
